台灣台北棒球隊將於2007年10月18-22日到伯斯比賽

~~誠摯地邀請旅居伯斯的大家來幫台灣球隊加油~~

We have our own Taiwan Taipei Baseball Team (台灣台北棒球隊) coming to Perth on 18th October to 22th October. They will be playing off this state's championship team Perth Barbagallo, during this five day match. Although this is just a friendly match, but you will see plenty of action and rivalry with both teams. All games are held in the Thornlie Baseball Park and starts at 7.30pm sharp.

Everyone of you are invited to attend and cheer for our national team. Give them support as they have traveled a long way from home just to show their sportsmanship. On the day we will have big drums, shakers, and other instruments to make a lot of noise to show our support for the visitor team. We want everyone to at least try their best to attend one of the days!

As a final request, I was asked to see if there are any volunteers that would love to be the "commentator" for these great games?

The tasks of the commentator will be simply be reading out Chinese player's names, reporting on the scores of the game and leading the support cheers. The job is rather simple, since you will have all the information presented to you, all you need is a clear loud voice to speak into the mics. Are there any perks? YES there are, firstly you will be seated in the commentator's hub, which means you will have the BEST view looking at the game. Secondly will have access into the game without any admission fees . Thirdly, you will have photos taken by the Taiwanese press. Lastly, you can go and meet the players face to face, even ask for signatures!!

We just need one commentator for each of the 5 days, you do not need to sit for all 5... but it would be great if you can attend at least 2 out of the 5. I need a reply as soon as possible, so we can get the tickets and entries organized. If you can't but know someone who would love to do it, please pass the contact detail and names to me. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Therefore if you are free from 18th Oct to 22nd Oct from 7.00pm onwards and want to help out. Please email me back ASAP, so I can get the organizing committee to get in touch with you to go through some procedures!

So this is a great opportunity to show your patriotism!
